Terms of Use

1. Who may use StayClarity

You may browse public pages without an account. To create an account, submit content, vote, or report a review, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to agree to these Terms. If you use StayClarity for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

By creating an account or submitting content, you agree to these Terms and the Community Guidelines and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not contribute or use account features.

2. What the service does

StayClarity lets people find reviews associated with a public listing URL and contribute first-hand observations about how accurately the listing represented a property. A URL is used as a reference point; it does not establish ownership, affiliation, endorsement, or the current availability of a listing.

StayClarity does not inspect properties, verify occupancy or ownership, verify identity beyond control of an email account, arrange transactions, or act as a broker, landlord, property manager, travel provider, or agent. We do not scrape, control, or endorse third-party listing pages.

StayClarity is currently free. We do not offer paid plans, trials, recurring billing, subscriptions, or automatic renewal. If recurring paid features are introduced, we will disclose the price, renewal timing, required reminders, and cancellation method before enrollment.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for activity under your email-authenticated session and for securing access to your email and devices. Provide accurate account information, use only one account unless we authorize otherwise, and promptly tell us at security@stayclarity.com if you believe your account was compromised. Usernames are public and currently cannot be changed.

4. Your contributions

You retain ownership of reviews and photos you create. You grant StayClarity a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, reformat, moderate, publish, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service. This license includes allowing our service providers to process content only for those purposes. It ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for limited backups, legal holds, and non-identifying audit records.

You represent that you have the rights needed to submit your content; it reflects your genuine first-hand experience; factual claims are accurate to the best of your knowledge; any material personal, employment, or financial connection is clearly disclosed; and the content complies with law and our Community Guidelines. Do not upload listing photos, screenshots, AI-generated material, or another person’s work without permission.

5. Prohibited use

You may not use StayClarity to:

• submit fake, purchased, coerced, coordinated, or sentiment-conditioned reviews, or misrepresent your experience or connection to a listing;
• harass, threaten, discriminate, impersonate, dox, defraud, spam, or publish unlawful, infringing, or dangerously private information;
• manipulate ratings, helpful votes, reports, verification labels, or moderation through multiple accounts, automation, or deception;
• probe or disrupt the service, bypass access controls or suspension, introduce malicious code, or access data without authorization; or
• copy or use the service or its data at scale except through a method we expressly authorize.

6. Moderation, ranking, and enforcement

Submission does not guarantee publication. Every new or edited review is held for staff review. We may ask for changes, reject, remove, restrict, restore, or preserve content; block a listing URL; limit features; or suspend an account when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or the service, investigate abuse, or comply with law. We consider context, severity, evidence, and prior violations and aim to apply restrictions objectively and proportionately.

The default review order gives photo-backed reviews prominent placement and then uses recency. People can choose other available sorts and filters. A photo or verification label describes the evidence submitted and does not guarantee identity, ownership, truth, safety, or overall accuracy. 7. Reports, appeals, and legal notices

Use the Report control on a review for policy concerns. For a detailed notice of illegal content, email legal@stayclarity.com with the exact StayClarity URL, the affected content, why it is unlawful, the relevant country or law if known, and your contact information. Copyright complaints follow the Copyright Policy. False or abusive notices may violate these Terms.

A contributor or reporter may request human review of a moderation decision by emailing support@stayclarity.com within six months of the decision. Include the review URL, the decision, and why it should change. Appeals are free, reviewed without retaliation, and may result in the decision being upheld or reversed.

8. StayClarity materials

StayClarity and its software, interface, branding, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, we and our licensors retain all rights. Feedback may be used without restriction or payment, but we are not required to use it.

9. Third-party services

StayClarity links to third-party listing sites and relies on service providers. Third parties have their own terms, privacy practices, and content. We are not responsible for their availability, security, accuracy, or transactions. Independently verify a listing and use a trusted channel before paying, visiting, signing, or sharing information.

10. No professional advice or guarantees

Reviews are user opinions and are not legal, financial, housing, safety, inspection, travel, or real-estate advice. StayClarity does not verify every claim and does not guarantee that content is complete, current, genuine, or suitable for a particular decision. Independently verify important information.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing here limits a warranty or consumer right that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StayClarity will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost profits or data, or losses arising from third-party listings, community content, or decisions made from that content. This does not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability for fraud, willful misconduct, or personal injury where applicable.

12. Changes, suspension, and ending use

We may change or discontinue features and may update these Terms. We will post the new effective date and give reasonable notice of material changes; when appropriate, we will ask contributors to accept the new version before contributing again. You may stop using the service, remove reviews, or delete your account from account settings. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

13. Applicable law and disputes

Laws that cannot be waived, including mandatory consumer and privacy protections where you live, continue to apply. Before filing a formal claim, contact support so we can try to resolve the issue. These Terms do not require arbitration, waive a class action right, or prevent either party from seeking relief from a court or regulator with jurisdiction.

14. General terms

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale, subject to applicable notice and privacy requirements. These Terms, together with the linked policies, are the agreement about the service.
